Join our 2026 Basketball Program for kids aged 5-14 and experience the thrill of playing basketball in a fun and supportive environment. At Hammond Area Recreation District No. 1, we believe that sports should be a positive and rewarding experience for every child.
Program Details
- Location: Chappapeela Sports Park | 19325 Hipark Boulevard
Hammond, LA 70403 - Ages: 5-14 years old, Co-Ed
- Season Dates: January 5th - March 14th
- Practice Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (ages and times vary)
- Game Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays (ages and times vary)
- Age Divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14
Registration Information
- Registration Dates: October 1st - December 5th @ 5:00 pm
- Registration Price: $70 per player, plus $10 out-of-district fee
- Gate Fee: $3 per person for games

Player Max Request in Place: We try our best to honor requests within the cap limit.
No Refund Policy: Please note that there are no refunds for our youth sports programs, no exceptions.
Player Eligibility: All players must be recreation level players, no travel ball players or teams are eligible to register.
